Most Labour Bill clauses passed so far
Over 70% of the clauses of the Labour Relations Bill have been passed by law-makers.
Legislators who have business backgrounds voted mostly in favour of the articles, while those with trade union or grassroot backgrounds were more inclined to vote against the clauses that were deemed disadvantageous to employees.
The Legislative Assembly will resume meeting today (5 August) to deliberate and vote on the remaining 27 articles of the Bill.
Focus will be on whether back pay should be made criminalised as the Bill proposed.
