The former Secretary for Transport and Public Works Ao Man Long (¼Ú¤åÀs) is formally charged with abuse of power, acceptance of bribes, money laundering and unknown sources of huge amounts of assets.
The Public Prosecutor had put forward the charges to the Court of Final Appeal.
According to the press release of the Public Prosecutor, the suspect and related persons can apply for a pre-trial 10 days after receiving the document of charges.
The Court then has to complete the pre-trial process within two months, to decide whether the charges should be maintained.
Macau expects to be able to use natural gas for electricity generation by the end of October. (more…)
