...First things first, promotion in the gaming industry has always been based on experience & qualification...( other factors are people you know that can help you go up!... its not what you know but rather who you know?! )...

1.how can you promote these staffs if they cannot even follow simpe rules... skilled professionals who work in Casino's know that once they enter the floor, they must abide by the company rules which applies to both Locals & Expats... being a local resident does not exempt anyone from abiding policies set by the company...

2. Having a Macau ID does not necessarily mean that the bearer is a skilled & qualified worker...

3. Which Company would deter sacking of staff's incurring unreasonable number of MC's? (unreasonable...about 60-120days sicleave/yr)

4. Locals undergoing training should also be introduce to the meaning of "work & Social ethics" before being allowed to step on the Gaming floor... remember, they are the Company's Vanguard... they represent the company itself...

5. They should know their job function by heart...

I am not against the Locals... but I'll just leave you with this saying... " HE who knows how gets the Job... HE who knows why gets to be the BOSS!!!...

Death knell became ominous the moment Mainland China altered the visa policy of it's residents. Forget the high rollers for the moment. While they were the ones churning out the dough, they're invisible from any view outside the VIP rooms, without the crowd Casinos can't keep up with the hype. Since the start Macau is all about public perception.....and those crowd from Guandong. Galaxy is the first to feel the crunch as it doesn't have the ahhs and ommps of the other properties. I mentioned Galaxy is the first..there would be seconds, and thirds.

Looks like the Cotai Dream is grinding to a halt.

Macau Studio City, Parcel 7&8 rumoured to be the latest cancellations.

Unfinished casino's, ravaged landscape, and empty luxury tower blocks are likely to be the lasting legacy of this period of unbridled excess.

Government paralysed.

Pollution, congestion, and social discontent at an all time high.

Macau has been transformed (ruined?) and for what?

And for the benefit of who?

Reminds me of an old folk song - 'The town I loved so well...'
