Service suspension

Typhoon announcements
- TCM will resume bus services from 10:00 (15 September).
- Air Macau has resumed all services as normal from 09:30 today (15 September).
- Transmac will resume bus services 20 minutes after signal number 8 is replaced by lower signals.
- Friendship Bridge has been reopened, as the clear up was completed.
- All government agencies, except the police, the fire brigade, Customs and Conde S. Januário Hospital, will be closed this morning (15 September). Normal service will resume at 14:30.
- Ferry services between Macau and Hong Kong have been resumed, after the Hong Kong Observatory also replaced the number 8 signal with number 3 at 10:15.
Bridges to close under typhoon
The three bridges connecting Macau and Taipa will be closed at 22:00, as the Number 8 typhoon signal has been hoisted.
The lower deck of the Sai Van Bridge will be open to traffic at 21:30.
Black storm surge warning in force
Half of Macau could be affected by storm surge brought by Typhoon Koppu, as the Geophysical and Meteorological Bureau (SMG) has issued the Black storm surge warning, effective at 00:00 on 15 September.
Water levels will be 1.1 metres higher than the road surface at the Inner Harbour by 05:00, and the neighbourhoods likely to be affected include:

Patane
Ilha Verde
Portas do Cerco
Tamagnini Barbosa
Praia do Manduco
San Kio
Sai Van Lake
Fai Chi Kei
Ponte e Horte
Barra
Avenida Almeida Ribeiro, until the central stretch
Carlos da Maia
Red Market
Horta e Costa
Rua dos Mercadores
Macau Portuguese School
S. Lourenço Market
Iao Hon Market
Areia Preta.
Vila da Taipa and Vila de Coloane will also be affected by the storm surge.
No ferry service under typhoon
All ferry services between Macau and neighbouring cities have been suspended, as Typhoon Koppu approaches near the coast of southern China.
